R.I.P. Walter Koenig, Star Trek’s original Chekov

Walter Koenig has died. Best known as Pavel Chekov, the Enterprise’s jocular mop-topped Russian navigator on Star Trek and in its many sequel films, Koenig spent more than half a century on screens big and small, going boldly where no one had gone before. Radio host and family friend Jesse Thorne confirmed his death through Koenig’s daughter, Danielle.
