Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve reuniting for Fjord was not a given

Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve have now co-starred in two films in three years. There was 2024’s A Different Man, directed by Aaron Schimberg, and this year’s Fjord, the Palme d’Or-winning film from director Christian Mungiu. Perhaps the two will continue to work together in the future, but as Reinsve tells The A.V. Club, the fact that they had previously worked together was not necessarily something Mungiu wanted.
